Blue Skull Car Sun Shade — the sugar skull

The Blue Skull Auto Sun Shade is a foldable windscreen shade, printed on the glass side with the sugar skull and folding into its own sleeve.

Seen through the windscreen from outside, the sugar skull is an ornate sugar skull in white and blue line work on a pale blue ground — fine day-of-the-dead detail, printed large enough that the line work survives.

The sugar skull is printed and cut to order rather than bought in bulk: 6 to 9 days of production, then 2 to 4 weeks in transit, flat $6 delivery, free over $100 and 30 days to send it back. The sugar skull springs open to the width of most saloons, SUVs and vans, holds against the glass with the visors folded down, and wipes clean with a damp cloth — nothing sticks to the windscreen, no suction cups.
